I have a winter math activity that you can use with your preschoolers (or kindergartners)! It is a snowman themed ten frame mat with objects included to fill in each ten frame.
Winter Math Activity: Set Up
This freebie includes everything you need which means you won’t need to find extra manipulatives to put into your math center. You will print off the mats, tree counters, and tracing sheet. You can laminate the mats and counters then add them to you math center.
How to Use
Your kids will pick a ten frame, identify the number, and then match the number of trees with the number. After your kids finish matching all the numbers, they can put the mats in order! This is the perfect activity for winter with the snowman theme and a great way to review numbers 1-10. Your preschooler will also be working on counting objects!
Extras
I have also included a tracing numbers sheet. You can put this in your center as an extra activity or use it for early finishers or an extra review. Also, you can add this number tracing worksheet as an additional step in your activity. Your child can identify the number, build the ten frame, then trace the number!
