Thanksgiving Color Match Activity Set up

For this one, you will need to draw a turkey body and then draw turkey feathers in different colors. Make sure you draw turkey feather colors that match your dot stickers or you will have a very confused little one 🙂 You can keep your paper on the floor or you can hang it up on a wall using painter’s tape. Either setup will have your kids moving around the paper to match the feathers.

Thanksgiving Color Match Activity Tips

Your toddler or preschooler will take their stickers and stick the sticker inside each feather. I wanted to share some helpful tips while doing this one

  • The stickers I shared have one color on each sheet. If you want to have your kiddos to switch between colors more often, cut the sticker sheet into 3-5 stickers so once they use it up they can grab a new color.
  • When they are working on sticking their stickers to the paper, talk about what color they are using each time.
  • Sing spell the colors they are using or makeup songs about the colors.
  • If they are not engaging in the activity, do it with them! Ask them to get you the “blue” stickers and then you can do it. You could also tell them you will do 3 stickers and they will do 3 stickers (hello, counting!)

I love this one because there are so many skills they are working on while they play. They work on colors, fine motor, and at the end, you can go back and count how many stickers are on each feather.
