I am so excited to share 10 spring activities for kids with you. These are a great mix between worksheet and activities you can prep to do at home. These are great for toddlers through kindergartners and can be adapted for any learner. Check them out!

Spring Activities for Kids
Spring Activities for Kids – Counting
Counting Flower Garden
First I have a spring activity that is made with fake flowers and dried peas. Next, I made number cards with the numbers we were practicing. I put the dried peas in a small container and added the flowers. My preschoolers picked a number card and “picked” the flowers to match the number. This is a great activity to work on number identification and counting.
Flower Counting Beads
Next is another flower one! I took pipe cleaners and taped the flower toppers on them. We took beads and strung them on the pipe cleaner to match the number on the pipe cleaner. This also focuses on number identification and counting but also has a little fine motor added in!
Spring Color Matching Activities
The next few will be different color matching activities.
Color Match Rainbows
This first color match activity will have your preschooler making rainbows! I drew different colored clouds on our easel paper. Then, my preschoolers drew rainbows to match the cloud color. For more of a challenge, you could draw each cloud in black and write the color word inside the cloud. Write it in black for kids who know their color words or write it in the matching color for color word practice.
Flower Dot Marker Color Matching
The next one can actually be done in two different ways. I will talk about both but the first one has you using dot markers. I started by drawing flowers in different colors on my butcher paper. Then, my preschooler took dot markers to color in each of the flowers.
Spring Fine Motor Color Match
Besides dot markers, you can do this flower match activity in a different way. You can use a tweezers and colored pom poms. Take your tweezer and place the colored pom pom on the matching flower. Strengthening those hand muscles is so important and this is a fun way to do it!
Worm Color Match
This one might seem so random BUT spring brings rain which brings WORMS! This is actually one part of this freebie. Your preschoolers will match the colored worms and write the color word. There is also a worm hunt included! Yep, you guessed it! Take your kiddos outside and color in each worm they find! The perfect outdoor activity! This is in my free library – search “wormhunt”
Spring Activities for Kids – Letters
Rainbow Letter Matching Puzzles
The first spring letter activity can be used in a sensory bin or just place the cards in a bucket for your kiddos. For this one, your preschoolers will be matching uppercase and lowercase letters. When they put the puzzle pieces together they will make a rainbow!
Sunshine Letter Match
Check out another sensory bin activity. Place the letter cards into a sensory bin. Your preschooler will pick a letter, identify it, and then color it on their recording sheet. I split the recording sheets in half so there are only 13 letters on each one. This is a great beginner letter match activity. Find it in my FREE LIBRARY! Search “sunnylettermatch”
Hide and Seek Bunny Hunt
This is such a fun spring hide and seek one! You will print out all the letter cards and bunny cards. Lay out the letter cards and “hide” the bunny under a few of the letters. Your preschoolers will say a letter and you will check behind the letter to see if the bunny is there. Try to find all the bunnies before you run out of letters to identify. If your kids know all their letters, then have them say the letter sound!
Spring Activities for Kids – Art
Coffee Filter Flowers
The first spring art activity I want to share with you is a coffee filter flower. These are so easy to make and turn out so cute! Color on a coffee filter, then spray it with water (think mist), let it dry, and glue it to a piece of paper. Draw a stem and you have a cute display for your home or classroom.
Beginning Sound Coloring Page
This is a part of a bigger rainbow pack but it is a fun way to work on the beginning sounds. Read the sentence on the bottom and have your kids color the rainbow!
Spring Activities for Kids – Science
Build a Flower
This one can be considered art OR science. You will cut out the pieces of the flower and your kids will put it together. Make sure to name the different parts as you go!
Summing this one up I realize there are way more than 10 but I just couldn’t stop at 10! I hope you can use these at home with your preschoolers or use them in your classroom with your students!
