Shape Activity for Preschool: Set Up
I drew 2D shapes all over our easel paper using a black marker. Then, I labeled each shape with the color and shape name. I underline each color word so we could use the dot marker bottles to help us read those words.
Color Word Matching
Next, we took each dot marker and matched the color word from the bottle to our paper. Then, we placed each bottle inside the shape. This way we broke up the activity into starting with color word matching and then we could focus on the review.
Shape Activity for Preschool: Wrap Up
Finally, after our paper had dried, we took foam shapes and matched them to each shape on our paper. This was a great way to close up our activity because we could review the shapes one more time. Plus, we could read the two words under each shape.
