Looking for pumpkin activities? I’m sharing a pumpkin color match + a few more so keep reading to grab all these pumpkin-themed freebies!
How to Set it Up the Pumpkin Color Match Activities:
I usually put this activity into a sensory bin. The cards are small enough that you can use this container from Target which makes it easy to store away when you are done. I found all my filler from Dollar Tree. Their shredded paper is the best because it comes in so many colors. I also grabbed some pumpkins in their seasonal section. We can use these all fall long, too!
How to Use Pumpkin Color Match:
There are a few different ways to use this pumpkin color match freebie! Check out all the ways.
Color to Color Match
Put the colored cards into your sensory bin. You preschooler will pick a card, say the color, then match it to the colored pumpkin on the mat. This is a perfect activity for kids first learning their colors and working on simple matching.
Color to Color Word
This one is similar to the activity above but for this one you will use the mat that just has the color words. This activity will review color words. The best part about this pumpkin color match pack is that you can switch up which cards you use to mee the needs of your kids. *Bonus-cut out the color word cards and match it to the color mat!
Pick a Card and Color
The last activity has two in one. Put the colored cards into your sensory bin. Have your preschooler pick a card, say the color, then use a crayon or marker to color in a pumpkin on their recording sheet. The best part about this one is there are TWO recording sheets. One sheet only has 5 pumpkins on it. This is great for younger kids. The other one has enough pumpkins to use every color. *Bonus-put the color cards in your sensory bin and have your kids read the word and then color!
