I wanted to share three Kindle battery tips that will help keep your kindle battery from draining too fast! I had an issue with my battery draining without even reading it sometimes. Read to see what helped me!

Kindle Battery Tips 1-3
Wifi vs Airplane Mode
This seems like an obvious one, but having wifi on can drain the battery. Your kindle might be searching for the internet when you’re not using it. This makes the battery drain a lot! Airplane mode should be left on when you are reading and only turn it off when you want to download a new book!
Screen Off
I don’t just mean hitting the bottom button to make the screensaver turn on. Pushing the button to get the screensaver on does help but when you are done reading, hold the bottom button down for 7-10 seconds (the light on the bottom will blink), and a box will pop up. There will be 3 options- Cancel, Restart, or Screen Off. Choose “screen off” to save a little battery!
Brightness Level
I love the front light on my kindle for reading at night. It doesn’t hurt my eyes and I don’t need to keep a light on. However, having it too bright can drain the battery. I keep my brightness at 4 and have no issues with it being too dark.
Bonus Kindle Battery Tip
Charging while downloading a book can help, too! Especially if you are downloading more than one. It will give it a little juice during the process 🙂
