Check out these math and literacy football themed activities for preschool! I have some activities to make and a few that you can print off for free!
Football Themed Activities
I am going to share a few different football themed activities that you can use any time of the year!
Football Themed Activities: Butcher Paper Ideas
Football Coloring Matching
The first one I want to share with this color match activity using butcher paper and Do a Dot markers. I drew colored football all over the butcher paper, then my preschoolers used their dot markers to color in each football. They would focus on matching each football color to the dot marker color. This is a great way to review colors!
Goal Post Counting
The second activity focuses on identifying numbers and counting. Draw goal posts all over your butcher paper, then write a number in between the posts. Have your preschooler identify the number, then count out footballs to place around the number.
Football Themed Activities: Printables
I am going to share a few free printables that you can use with your preschoolers. Grab them all here!
Football Addition
For this one, you can use the footballs from the previous activity. You will have your preschooler pick two football helmets, count out footballs to match the number, then add them all together.
Football Letter Match
You guessed, use those footballs again! For this one, your preschooler will pick a football letter card, identify it, and then cover the letter on their football helmet. This is a perfect way to review those letters. If your preschooler knows all their letters, have them say the sound then cover the letter.
Football Math and Literacy Worksheets
This last one is FULL of math and literacy worksheets. You can use these for morning work or for homework. OR just make a fun football pack the day after the Big Game!

When you sign up for the other freebies you will also get a template to decorate a jersey! It focuses on writing a color word.
