Looking for some fire safety activities? I have two freebies to share with you! These activities both focus on letter recognition.
Fire Safety Letter Match
The first of the fire safety activities I am going to share with you is this letter match. This one includes letter cards and a flame letter mat. The mat has lowercase letters and the letter cards are uppercase letters. This is a great way to work on lowercase and uppercase matching.
You can do this one in a couple of ways. You can put the letter cards in a container and have your kids choose a card and cover the letter with a mini eraser or counter or dot marker. I put all the cards in a sensory bin and have them choose the letter and cover the letter on their mat. If you are using an object to cover the letters, I would laminate or put your mat in a page protector so you can use it over and over again!
Fire Safety Letter Match and Trace
This one is similar in the sense that your kids can match each letter on their letter strips, trace the letters, or do both! I added resin letters to our sensory bin and we found the letter and matched it to the letter strip. You can use magnetic letters or write the letters on small pieces of paper, too!
Once your kids match the letters, they can grab a pencil to trace each letter. If you laminate, have them use a dry-erase marker. I like laminating my sheets and having my kids use a dry-erase marker so we can use them again.
